Teacher Orientation will take place 1-8 August; however, the Front Desk is open for assistance. If you are a prospective parent, please schedule with the Front Office to meet with the Director and to have your child evaluated to confirm the appropriate grade level. On 8 August, students are expected to attend a half day (10‍‍‍:00 - 13:00) orientation. Students eligible to take home school-issued laptops will receive their laptops. Lockers will be assigned and students will run through a shortened version of their schedule. Parents should verify their contact information with the Front Office. On 9 August, school officially begins for the 2017-2018. ICSU will observe Korean Liberation Day and will close on 15 August.

ICSU will observe US Labor Day and will close on 4 September. The 8-9 and 11-14 September dates will not affect the school and students. On these dates, ICSU will host the directors from all of our NICS schools in Africa and Asia. For 28-29 September, we will not have students at school. They will instead be required to work from home in what ICSU calls our Cyber School Online. The reason for Cyber School Online is to accommodate Parent/Teacher Conferences and to provide Professional Development for teachers.

‍‍‍‍‍‍ICSU will observe Korean Chuseok and will close from 2-6 October. PSAT Testing will take place on 11 October for Grades 10 and 11. The end of the first quarter will be 17 October. Report Cards will go home on 20 October.

ICSU will host the SAT exam on 4 November (this date may need to adjust depending on the College Board, who administers the exam). On 14 November Progress Reports will go home. ICSU will observe US Thanksgiving and will close from 23-24 November. On 22 November, ICSU will operate a half day schedule, releasing students prior to lunch.

The end of the Fall Semester is 15 December. Semester final exams are 11-14 December and all students are released prior to lunch. ICSU will observe Christmas 18-29 December (and one more week in January). During this period, the school is closed.

ICSU will continue to observe Christmas 1-5 January; however, the office will be opened for limited hours 3-5 January. The school is closed during this time. On 8 January the school reopens and begins the Spring Semester. This will be a half day, with students released prior to lunch.

ICSU will have a half day on 9 February. Students will be released prior to lunch. Also on 9 February, Progress Reports will go home. ICSU will observe Lunar 12-16 February. The school will be closed.

The end of the 3rd Quarter is 13 March. Reports Cards will go home on ‍‍‍20 March. Service Projects will be completed 21-23 March. A half day will be on 23 March. Students will be released prior to lunch. ICSU will observe Spring Break 26-30 March. The school will be closed.

Easter Sunday is 15 April. ICSU will observe Easter 16 April. The school will be closed. However, if there is a need to make up a "snow day," school will operate normally. Progress Reports will go home on 27 April.

ICSU will observe Korean Children's Day 3-4 May. School will be closed. During this holiday, teachers will have a two day Professional Development. ICSU will host the SAT exam on 5 May (this date may need to adjust depending on the College Board, who administers the exam). End of school year final exams begin on 31 May. This will be a half day, with students released prior to lunch.

End of school year final exams continue through 6 June. This will be half days, with students released prior to lunch. Senior Graduation will take place on Friday, 1 June. Last day of the 2017-2018 school year will be 6 June. Students will be released prior to lunch. For any students requiring Summer School, this session will be 11-29 June.
